Retail Assist Shortlisted in Best 3 Help Desks Worldwide

Nottingham based retail IT solutions specialist Retail Assist has been shortlisted in the Top 3 Managed Help Desks worldwide, as voted by the panel at the Service Desk Institute.

In the category of “Best Managed Service Desk”, Retail Assist’s Help Desk made the final 3 for the Service Desk Institute’s IT Service & Support Awards 2015, which shine a light on the best service desks in the industry. The awards recognise both outstanding contributions to customer service and excellence in IT service management. The team demonstrated world-beating quality as a customer focussed and results driven service desk, showing a real passion for the work that they do.

Retail Assist provides IT solutions and managed services to major fashion retailers, as well as a growing base of hospitality and leisure operators. Their Help Desk is a single point of contact for all IT and technical support calls.

After a tough selection process, 5 companies were originally shortlisted for the award, from which 3 were selected for the finals. Though Retail Assist’s Help Desk came runners-up to Computacenter, based in Barcelona, the team from Nottingham enjoyed celebrating their achievement at a prestigious awards ceremony at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole last month.

Retail Assist identified global support as one of their winning qualities. Providing support in 7,500 locations across the world, the team deliver help desk services in Spanish, French, German, Polish, Italian, Portuguese and Hungarian, all from the UK head office location in Nottingham.

In 2013, Retail Assist received a Nottingham Technology Grant of £170,000 to help develop and expand its Help Desk, boosting business growth and jobs in the city, as part of the Nottingham City Council Growth Plan.

Employing over 200 people, Retail Assist was established over 15 years ago, and most are based in Friar Lane, Nottingham.
